MGRS Annual Meeting in Buxton on July 15th

    MGRS annual meeting.  Carl's on July 15th,  If possible bring a side dish.  Society will supply the Hamburgers/ Hot dogs chips and soda.  No auction this meeting but will have a list of things for sale to purchase.

MGRS Annual Meeting at 1pm on Sunday, March 19 at Valerie's Scratch Kitchen in Biddeford

 The  Maine Garden Railway Society will be meeting on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1:00. Location is Valerie's Scratch Kitchen, 45 Boulder Way Unit B., Biddeford, Maine. Time of 1:00 to 2:00 grab a bite to eat and socialize. 2:00 is when they close and we can have our meeting. Valerie's has a website for the menu and prices. At this time dues for this year can be paid. We estimate 35 roughly. If you plan to attend please facebook, email or voicemail message me with your name and others coming with you. See you all there. Should be easy to find, on interstate 95 take the Biddeford exit. At the light go straight and take next right and right. Building is located on the other side of Atlantic Federal Credit Union.   New member David Hawk makes and sells railclamps for G Scale Track. Here is a picture of what he makes. His comment is "  I am working on 500 of the 1.500 long 4 screws. That's drilling 8,000 holes and then tapping 2,000 threaded holes. It's time consuming but I actually enjoy it."

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
