L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.   New member David Hawk makes and sells railclamps for G Scale Track. Here is a picture of what he makes. His comment is "  I am working on 500 of the 1.500 long 4 screws. That's drilling 8,000 holes and then tapping 2,000 threaded holes. It's time consuming but I actually enjoy it."
