Speaking of Conway Senic Railroad


Hi All, As you know we usually operate #7470 during a portion of the summer and for the fall operating seasons. This year because of the restoration of our new dining car and our goal of having it in service on the Notch Train by foliage time we have decided to shift personnel and other resources away from operating and maintaining steam this summer in order to devote more time to working on the "Hattie Evans". We expect steam to come out for the fall & winter operating seasons as normal. Best regards, Paul

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
