Maine Veterans Home Outing at MGRS




Some more frisky Maine Veterans came by to visit at a special event at MGRS today at Carl's.
They were from the Nursing Home Group and were an absolute delight! And they had 3 guides and assistants that did a great job. Kudos to the MGRS members that helped out. It took 7 of us to keep up with the Vets! Thanks to Carl, Scott, Paul, Mac, Lou, John and Dick (Richard Cosgrove from Bath, a new member that just joined Saturday.) It was a great get together and we are adding both Veteran Groups that just visited to our Newsletter Mailing List. Thanks again Veterans!

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
