Thank You to Scott & Kris Gould for a great Open House today in Cape Elizabeth. And thank you to the MGRS Members that participated. Two dozen folks some of whom traveled long distances got together to share a beautiful day with terrific food and hospitality. (BTW the chili was delicious) It was a very good get together enjoyed by all. Scott found his A-B-A Unit that he had not used for years. All three of the units are powered by two motors. I am sure it will become a favorite again because it ran so smooth and dependably.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
