Thank You Note From Maine Veterans Home

Pat and Carl Churchill recently received the following note of appreciation from the Maine Veterans Home:

Thanks again for another great summer. The residents enjoy the backyard atmosphere! It is so relaxing to them, and you just make their day! You always have such great people to have conversations with our veterans, and they get a kick out of going in the woods for a trail ride.

You are the best. Not everyone will open their backyard for such a large group of visitors.

It is amazing what you have done with your garden and buildings. The trains going through are the best.

Thanks for having us. We thoroughly enjoyed every visit. Thanks from the residents of the Maine Veterans Home, as well as the staff and volunteers.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
