Five to Six Hundred enjoyed watching our Trains run

Well let me say this, If you are a member of MGRS you should be proud to hear how many folks, young and old really did enjoy watching our display which Paul hosted along with the support of several members.

You could see and hear their delight as people came through the door. It was a very successful exhibit and the environment of the Festival of Trees is an excellent setting for us to set up a Christmas time train display.

I know Paul is tired because he ran the whole exhibit and was there every hour. But he is also sincerely pleased to have met hundreds of new people and had the opportunity to tell them about a hobby we all at MGRS truly do enjoy. Yes, it is a very good time of the year!

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
