Getting ready for Christmas





Yesterday I was "digging out" some engines that I do not use that often.

Thinking maybe that one could be used at the Mall.  Those little cars could be filled with some miniature wrapped presents.  I imagined what it would look like going around the Christmas tree.  Look,  this one smokes and if you put a battery in the sound unit works well.  It is kind of like a kid rediscovering some old toys!



What can you find that would look good at the Mall?  I do know that we need to borrow two 5 foot circles and two 8 Foot circles of track.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
