Maine Mall Video by a Passerby ~ Thank you!

  Walking through the Maine Mall on my way to lunch in the Food Court (guilty! guilty!) I discovered the massive G-Scale (Garden) train installation of the Maine Garden Railway Society. They were kind enough to put my iPhone 4 on the front of the Rio Grande engine and this video - with a little help from the Mannheim Steamroller - is the result - I don't do a regular Christmas - this video suits me just fine.  The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
