Happy Patriot's Day

Celebrated primarily in Maine and Massachusetts,   Patriot's Day honors the battle of Lexington and Concord,

The ride of Paul Revere and the beginning of the Revolutionary War.  It also celebrates the Boston Marathon, Red Sox and if you get up real early, reenactments of  battles:   It is also a good day to enjoy your model railroad!   Train Slideshow,       Song: Freedom Train

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
