Open House at Jim's




















A big 'Thank you' to Jim Jenkins who hosted an Open House today at his garden railroad in West Bath.  Thanks also to the good crowd that attended and to those that brought delicious thinks to eat!  Jim has worked hard on his layout and it is very good looking and nicely done with lots of good looking landscaping, plenty of detail and room for lots of rolling stock.   It is 5 years old and has some long smooth grades which he loves to hook up long trains on!   Check out the video, it is very impressive.  To see more pictures please click here:

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
