I received a message from Scott that he asked me to post for him.  Very happy to do so:


Scott said "Dick was taken seriously ill as a result of the flu and is now hospitalized in
Boston.  Dick has been one of the strongest supporters of the Holiday Train
Display.  He and Denny Rubin are in our thoughts as we wish for a full
recovery."

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
