Update from Scott Gould

 Dick Rubin is out of the hospital, where he had been in intensive care
for a week.  I just talked with him and he is sounding great—sound heart
and sound mind.  He is at the Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital at the
Pease International Tradeport in New Hampshire for the next couple of weeks,
while he gets his strength back.  All in all, very good news.  I’d be
happy if you pass this along on the blog.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
