Memorial Bridge News





   Tiny has been to the construction viewing area and kept his eye on the project.  Now that the weather is improving it will be even more fun to watch.  He has seen the house where the operator will be and the huge weight that will help move the bridge up and down.  Here are some web sites that follow the progress if you can't make it down there yourself:

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
