Sawmill switcher



Last year Barry walked me around the layout and one of the things he suggested was adding a switcher engine that worked both sides of the sawmill.  So when I saw this GE 45 ton model on Ebay I did not need any more reasons to place a bid.  Overtaken with greed and the desire to win I gave it my best bid with just seconds to go. It was successful.   It comes unlettered but I drew a logo on the picture for fun.  It does have a lot of nice features and I am looking forward to getting it.  I think it would look nice slowly moving some scale logs back and forth around the sawmill.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
