Spring Brook Outing at Carls

Welcome August!  The busiest month of the year at Overlook Garden Railway.  Six groups visit MGRS this month.  Plus we have a train trip to Boston.  Tomorrow a group is visiting and then every Thursday  for the remainder of August.  

I don't think we have any pictures from today but Carl said they had a great time and someone saw a deer out back on one of the trail rides.  Thank you very much to all the good folks that helped make this a great day for our guests.  The outings are good for all, both guests and members have a good time.  Who dosen't enjoy a picnic with trains and friends!

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
