Fair Season





  Today was a great day to take in the Cumberland Fair.   Lots of fun and lots to see.  Kind of a full scale version of parts of our layout:  The Sugar Shack,  Blacksmith shop, Barn museum, even the original Yarmouth Junction building!  There were G scale displays and a train shop.  Delicious foods and a nice day  put you right in the perfect Fall season state of mind.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
