Take Down Day!

 

I counted twenty different members who showed up early the day after Christmas to help take down the layout in Center Court at the Maine Mall  Thursday morning.  With incredible teamwork . . . Zap!!!  3 hours later I took the picture below:  Amazing!

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
