Augusta Doll House (and train) Show

Sue and I went up to Augusta today to see the train show. It was a lot like the Sanford shows of yesteryear. Great Falls had an "O" scale layout. Not much "G" stuff. The doll house stuff was all larger than 1/24th scale.

Great exhibit on restoring MEC Steam Engine. I will bring some handouts to the March meeting.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
