Whitefield Lions Club Model Railroad and Dollhouse Show









 One of my favorite shows because it was the first train show I ever went to.  Today my daughter and I stopped in to visit the annual Lions Club Dollhouse and Model Railroad Show in Augusta.



The stage features the 3-Railer's Layout.  I immediately recognized Jeff and Maurice below and completely messed up the picture.  But had a nice talk and it was fun to see them again and talk to some of the other guys.  I saw our Norm and he is feeling a lot better!   Talked to Ed and Brenda who are working on a nice O gauge layout at Norm's Trains in Casco.

I also talked with Steve who is ready to hike the Application Trail in March through August.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
