The year was 2012, Nancy Norris asked me to make a video of our display. This was the only video which I tried to narrate. It did not come out that good but in a strange way it is kind of nostalgic.
The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the Northern Lights Web Page . Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout. MGRS annual meeting. Carl's on July 15th, If possible bring a side dish. Society will supply the Hamburgers/ Hot dogs chips and soda. No auction this meeting but will have a list of things for sale to purchase.
