World's tallest Ferris wheel opens in Las Vegas

No it's NOT an April Fool joke.  It never stops turning (you have to board it as its moving) 520 foot diameter. Take 30 minutes to make a revolution, and you are encouraged to bring a drink with you.   What more can I say?  Click here for video:



Posted because of uniqueness.  A G-scale model would be almost twenty two feet in diameter!  Imagine that on our layout.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
