Lobster Boat docks in Center Court

   Today the Linda Bean Lobster Boat Cafe opened in South Portland at the Main Mall.  Carl called and said he was going in.  I thought it would be fun to see as well as give me a chance to check out the area we would be moving to for this years display.    Our area does look good.  I think it will turn out well.  So, I snapped a nice picture of Center Court and turned my attention to the ceremonies which were about to start.






  Governor LaPage, Senator Collins, and Linda Bean all spoke as many interested visitors looked on and watched the ribbon cutting ceremonies.  Look close below and you will see Carl and Dennis in the crowd.  The boat looks very good and most of the Mall management team was present and assisted in the ceremony.    


        










  We wish them success and we will be located very close to them.  Looking ahead, it should be another festive year of Holiday Trains at the Maine Mall and now all the more reason to be there.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
