Track Requirements

Not terribly interesting right now but wait a while and its time will come.  Carl keeps a close eye on what we need and makes sure everything is on hand on setup day.  The diagram below shows each piece of track with a shorthand notation I made up.  Straight track just shows a number for its length,  Curved track shows the diameter of the curve followed by "c" for curve.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
