Moose River Railroad in Bar Harbor, Maine - video

Come along for an engineer's view perspective in this video tour of the Moose River Railroad, an HO scale model railroad featuring Maine Central, Boston and Maine, and Bangor and Aroostook and New Haven themes. The layout, built by Earl Brechlin, is located in Bar Harbor, Maine. Thanks to Lawrence Nuesslein (Goodkebo on youtube) of Bar Harbor for inspiring some of the camera angles and for Bob Gervais for suggesting I put my gear pro cameras on the trains

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
