Operating Hours for the layout REDUCED through Thursday, December 10th

Effective today, layout hours are reduced through  Thursday December 10th.





Monday through Friday

--1st shift 10am to 2:30 pm

--2nd shift 2:30pm to 6:30pm



Sunday the shift will be from noon until the Mall closes at 6pm



On Friday, December 11 shifts will return to



Monday through Saturday

--1st shift 10am to 3:00 pm

--2nd shift 3:00pm to 8pm



Sunday will be from Noon to 8pm or when the Mall closes



On Christmas Eve the layout and the Mall will close at 5pm on December 24

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
