MGRS supporting STRIVE

Great day at the Cross Arena in Portland.

I arrived at the doors at 0645 and was soon joined by Paul Corbett, Ben Braithwaite, and Sam Carr with his son Sam. Setup started at 0700 and during construction we were joined by Carl with Brian , Dennis Farrell and Mike Curry.

Operations started before 1000 and John Middleton came in soon thereafter.

There was a petting zoo and costumed individuals. Miss Maine was there with Miss Teen Maine.

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
