MGRS Annual Outing Coming up on Saturday, July 14th




The club’s annual cookout, business meeting, election
officers and charity auction is coming right up on Saturday, July 14th.
The hours are 10am-4pm. Please plan to attend, bring a dish to share and items
for the charity auction. Rumor has it that a member of the Auctioneers Hall of
Fame will be making a special appearance this year.


 


Those helping with setup should come to Carl’s at 10am on Friday, July
13th.


 


This spring Carl built a new section of raised layout, so
there will be a place to run trains.

L.L. Bean Model Train Village Christmas 2022

 The Model Train Village has been part of the Northern Lights celebration at L.L. Bean for several years. The full program can be seen at the  Northern Lights Web Page .  Trains run 9am-9pm from November 15 through January 1. It is located in the Camping Department and can be seen from both inside and outside the store. Model Train Village and window to downtown Freeport It has three trains that run on timers along with lights, skating rinks, a model of the L.L. Bean Store in the 1930s-1940s, and a model of the Freeport Train Station which is now at Boothbay Railway Village. The Maine3Railers O-Gauge Model Railroad Club built and operates this layout.
